Okay guys, let's give this blog thing another go. I used to blog all the time back in the day, and I really loved it. But then Instagram came along I have to admit I started letting the blog slip in favour of Instagram because it was just so...instant, and easy, and there was only so many social media/online platforms I could properly devote time to at once. But I really miss blogging! I've always been a keen writer, and I love how with blogs I'm able to expand on the story behind a single image, and share more about the things I'm getting up to in the KP Universe. After revisiting my favourite blogs over the last few months I've become re-inspired by the medium, and so I'm going to try again, and I'm going to start with a few updates on what I've been up to lately. Let's begin with the H&M Style Lab!

In early August I was invited to run a denim customisation activation as part of the H&M Style Lab, hosted in collaboration with Elle Magazine at the H&M flagship store in Sydney. I created a collection of exclusive felt-cut embellishments, and alongside my embroidered patch designs I was on hand to customise denim pieces throughout the night. Alongside my activation there were embroidery and heat-transfer stations, drinks, snacks, and a panel talk on the topic of personal style.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak on the panel alongside some absolute powerhouse females of the fashion industry, including Claudia Jukic - Elle's Market Editor, Oracle Fox and Steph Claire Smith. To be honest, I was a little star struck to be in their company! I tried to play it cool but I don't know if it worked, lol. I think the thing I constantly get surprised about when I do events like this is how I can often feel like an imposter when I'm in the company of people I admire. Even if I'm legitimately meant to be there, I still feel like someone's going to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to leave! Anyway, they were all so lovely and I really enjoyed chatting with them about our own personal styles, favourite fashion trends, must-have outfits, and mutual love of gold hoop earrings!

I had such a fun night, so thank you H&M, Elle and Rose & the team from Alfred for having me!
An extra special thanks goes to my gorgeous gal pal Katy from Letter11 for being my co-customiser/lab partner for the night! Stay tuned for news on an upcoming Melbourne Style Lab event, coming soon!
