Workshops

In 2010 we hosted our first ever craft workshop at the Etsy headquarters in NYC. Since then we have developed a passion for teaching and inspiring others to embrace their creativity through community-based making. Studies have shown that engaging in creative workshops evokes a sense of solidarity and companionship and can give a sense of accomplishment, pride and satisfaction, which all impact positively on our mental health. In fact, 71% of people feel that engaging in a creative activity reduces feelings of anxiety and depression, while 73% reported increased creative fulfilment after engaging in a handmade pursuit. Sounds good to us!

Here's what our clients think

  • “I love craft, but the business side is so overwhelming! Kitiya broke it down into manageable chunks, and now the next step feels a lot closer. Speaking to Kitiya directly was invaluable. She’s really candid and relatable, so I felt comfortable asking my specific creative questions that no amount of books or blogs could answer!”

  • “Being able to craft and connect with people is so wonderful. Kit is a brilliant teacher, calm, supportive and the class is full of fun. It is so nice to be able to switch off and jump into a hands on project and relax.”

    Alexandra, Craft Workshop Attendee
  • “I had the best time online crafting with Kit. Everything was super organized but also had a really chill vibe. She allowed everyone to craft at their own pace and made everyone feel comfortable by checking in and answering all of our questions. The activity was very accessible and I’m really stoked with what I created. I would highly recommend anyone of any crafting ability to get involved in Kit’s Craft Club, it was super fun!”

    Brooke, Craft Workshop Attendee
  • “As part of our Speaker Series aimed towards Sustainability in Fashion, we teamed up with the wonderful Kitiya Palaskas Studio to create an upcycling workshop from thrifted clothes and recycled crafts. Kit was an absolute delight from the word go and we would highly recommend collaborating with Kitiya Palaskas Studio for any event to add in a fun and creative element! Kit and her team hosted a 1 hour workshop to teach the students how they could recreate an item of clothing to give it life and love again. By utilizing the provided 'craft buffet', students could sew, glue, cut or embroid patches whilst Kit assisted and inspired them. We cannot wait to work with Kitiya Palaskas Studio again!”
